The Octahemioctacron / Hexahemioctacron

The Octahemioctacron / Hexahemioctacron

The Small Icosi/Dodecahemidodecacron

The second in our five Duals of Hemi Polyhedra is the first one to be the dual of two originals: the Octahemioctahedron and the Hexahemioctahedron. Because of this it gets two names: the Octahemioctacron and the Hexahemioctacron. It’s basically just 8 hexagonal sticks joined together – or more properly 4 intersecting hexagonal prisms – but it has a certain vigorous look about it:

Octahemioctahedron / Hexahemioctahedron

…and again

And here are the original shapes it derives from:

Octahemioctahedron

Cubohemioctahedron

Next in the series is…the Small Icosi/Dodecahemidodecacron.
