W68 Octahemioctahedron

W69 Small Cubicubocatahedron

Red Triangles and yellow / brown / green / blue hexagons.

Pleasantly more complex than the Tetrahemihexahedron (W67), and clearly enclosed by a Cuboctahedron. As you hold it in your hand it’s impressive how much chiselled-out energy and fascination there is in just this simple little shape. It is of course another hemi-polyhedron, which means we get to see both sides of those hexagons – and we have issues with infinity when we come to look at its dual. We’ll meet its partner the Cubohemioctahedron (W78) later on.
